Chelsea are hoping to add at least a couple of new faces before the summer transfer window concludes in just over a month.
The window draws to its end on September 1 and while the Blues have already been very busy behind the scenes, they are hoping for some more deals to be struck between now and then. Chelsea are still looking to push through a number of outgoings before the window closes, while the club's sporting directors are hoping to add more depth and quality for Enzo Maresca so the head coach can have all the tools to improve on what was a promising first season at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are considering making a move for Jorrel Hato, football.london understands, though there is plenty of interest from elsewhere in the defender. The 19-year-old Ajax star can play as a left-back and in the centre of defence. Marc Cucurella had limited cover on the left-hand side of defence last season with both Renato Veiga and Ben Chilwell being loaned out in January.

The Blues are looking to sell Veiga and Chilwell this summer, meaning left-back is an area that needs to be addressed. Hato is a concrete target, although the Netherlands international has previously admitted he is in no rush to leave Ajax.
Elsewhere, Chelsea are considering their options in attack. Noni Madueke has joined Arsenal for £52million, while Jadon Sancho has returned to Manchester United with the Blues paying a £5million fee in order to break the £25million obligation to buy the winger following his season-long loan in west London. There could be more outgoings in attack as well.
Joao Felix is looking for a permanent move away and Chelsea will not stand in his way. The Portugal international has been strongly linked with a return to Benfica, just 12 months after he completed a permanent move to Stamford Bridge. Armando Broja is hoping to seal a permanent switch as well, with plenty of interested parties sniffing around the Albania international.
Raheem Sterling was at Arsenal last season on loan and has since returned to Chelsea. The Blues are hoping they can offload the Englishman before the end of the window but it will be difficult given the 30-year-old's wages. Meanwhile, Chelsea will not stand in Christopher Nkunku's way this summer.
The Frenchman has spent two seasons at Stamford Bridge and is looking to embark on a new chapter in his career, football.london understands. Chelsea are not desperate to sell Nkunku but equally will not block a move for the 27-year-old attacker.
Nicolas Jackson is also being linked with a move away from Chelsea but the club are not actively looking to sell the Senegalese striker. The Blues believe Jackson has the potential to grow into a £100million player in the future and while he is not untouchable, the expectation is he will be with the squad beyond the deadline.
Chelsea are looking to add at least one more attacker in the coming weeks. Xavi Simons of RB Leipzig is under consideration, while Morgan Rogers is a concrete target. Simons, though, is expected to be considerably cheaper than Rogers. Alejandro Garnacho is too an option, with interest in the Argentine still present.
