After the implementation of the 8th Pay Commission, the salary of IAS / IPS officers can increase up to Rs 1 lakh. All central employees and pensioners will get a big benefit.
On 16 January 2025, the central government approved the formation of the 8th Pay Commission, and with this, the hopes of lakhs of employees and pensioners also rose. The 8th Pay Commission can be implemented from the year 2026, as the 7th Pay Commission is ending this year. Based on the recommendations of this new commission, extensive changes will be made in the salary, allowances and pension of the employees.
Huge increase in the salary of IAS-IPS
If media reports are to be believed, this time the fitment factor can be between 1.92 and 2.86. This factor is a multiplier to increase the salary and pension.
IAS and IPS officers are in the most discussion, because these officers coming in at level-10 will see a tremendous increase in their salary. Currently, the salary of level-10 (IAS / IPS) officers is Rs 56,100, which can increase to about Rs 1,60,446 after the 8th Pay Commission.
Earlier, when the 7th Pay Commission was implemented, the employees got a huge relief and a good increase was made in the salary in view of inflation. Now once again it is expected that the government will work fast towards implementing the 8th Pay Commission soon.
From peon to top officer will benefit
If reports are to be believed, this pay commission will bring relief not only for big officers but also for peons, clerks, junior assistants, teachers, police personnel, railway employees and employees working in other departments. Their basic salary can also increase by 2 to 3 times. This will not only strengthen their financial condition. Rather, the pace of purchases in the market will also increase, which will also benefit the country's economy.
Changes in dearness allowance and pension too
The 8th Pay Commission will recommend changes not only in salary but also in dearness allowance (DA), HRA and pension. Especially pensioners will also get the benefit of this, which will make life easier after retirement.
