Western Railway has released recruitment for 2865 apprentice posts, for which the application process will start from 30 August 2025 and will run till 29 September 2025.

This recruitment will be done under Apprenticeship. The official notification for this has been issued and the application process is also going to start soon.
The application process for this apprentice recruitment of Western Railway will start from 30 August 2025. Interested candidates can apply through the official website. The last date to apply has been kept as 29 September 2025. That is, you will have one month's time, but do not wait till the last moment.
How many posts are recruited?
General Category – 1150 posts
Scheduled Caste (SC) – 433 posts
Scheduled Tribe (ST) – 215 posts
Other Backward Class (OBC) – 778 posts
Economically Weaker Section (EWS) – 289 posts
What will be the age limit?
The minimum age of the candidates applying should be 15 years and the maximum age should be 24 years. That is, candidates above 24 years will not be able to apply. However, age relaxation will also be given as per the rules of the government. There will be a relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST category, 3 years for OBC candidates and 10 years for Divyang candidates.
What should be the educational qualification?
The candidate must have passed the 10th and 12th examination from a recognized board with at least 50% marks. Along with this, the candidate must have a National Trade Certificate (ITI Certificate) from an NCVT/SCVT recognized institute.
How will the selection process be?
There will be no written exam in this recruitment. The candidates will be selected solely on the basis of their marks obtained in 10th and 12th. That is, the merit list will be prepared and the selection will be done on that basis.
How much will the fee be?
Candidates will also have to pay the application fee to apply. General, OBC and EWS candidates will have to pay Rs 100 as application fee and Rs 41 as processing fee. SC/ST candidates are exempted from application fee, but they will also have to pay Rs 41 as processing fee.
