IIT Delhi PhD Admission: IIT Delhi has announced the admission process for PhD and MS (Research) programs for the second semester of 2025-26. Interested candidates can now apply online by visiting the institute's official website, https://home.iitd.ac.in/pg admissions.php.
According to the institute, PhD programs will be offered in 15 departments, 9 centers, and 5 schools. These programs include major disciplines such as Applied Mechanics, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Design, Energy Science and Engineering, Management Studies, and Textile and Fiber Engineering. This program provides students with an interest in research with the opportunity for advanced study and specialization.
19 Subjects in MS (Research)
The MS (Research) program is also available in various fields and includes 19 subjects. Major disciplines include Computer Science, Machine Intelligence and Data Science, Healthcare Technology, Automotive Research and Tribology, etc. This program allows students to develop technical and practical knowledge through research.
Part-time admission is also available
IIT Delhi has clarified that admission will be offered on both a full-time and part-time basis. As per the eligibility criteria, a minimum 6.00 CGPA or 60 percent marks is required for General, OBC, and EWS category candidates, while for SC, ST, and PwD candidates, the minimum is 5.50 CGPA or 55 percent marks.
