Lakhisarai (Bihar) [India], October 30 (ANI): Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday asserted that there has been "no accusation of even four annas worth of corruption" levelled against Prime Minister Narendra Modi after 11 years in office or Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar after 20 years of governance.
He urged voters to back the NDA to ensure every penny of public money reaches the poor.
Addressing a massive election rally here in Lakhisarai district ahead of the Bihar Assembly polls, Shah launched a scathing attack on the opposition RJD-Congress combine, accusing them of perpetuating "jungle raj" and dynastic politics while indulging in massive scams.
"Lalu-Rabri carried out scams in Bihar. Their big leader is Rahul Baba... Congress also indulged in scams, scandals, and corruption worth 12 lakh crore rupees in 10 years. Lalu-Rabri and Congress cannot do good for Bihar," Shah said, highlighting the NDA's clean track record in contrast."It has been 20 years for Nitish Babu and 11 years for Modi Ji; no accusation of even four annas worth of corruption has been levelled against either of these two. The entire money is spent for the poor," he said.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's strong response to terrorism, stating that since 2014, every attack has been met with decisive action.
"When you made Narendra Modi PM in 2014, he responded to terror with surgical strikes, airstrikes, and most recently, Operation Sindoor--entering Pakistan's territory to eliminate terrorists behind the Pahalgam attack," Shah said.
Recalling the pre-2005 era in Bihar, the Home Minister said, "Before 2005, the entire state of Bihar was gripped by jungle raj. All industries, businesses, and trading... had shut down, and the only trade thriving was kidnapping and ransom. Heinous murders took place, crimes occurred, all this was during the rule of Lalu-Rabri. You handed the governance of Bihar into the hands of Nitish Babu, and Nitish Babu ended the jungle raj and initiated new development in Bihar. This time again, form the NDA government, on the foundation that Modi ji and Nitish ji have laid, our government will erect a grand edifice."
Bihar is scheduled to go for assembly polls in two phases on November 1 and November 6, with counting of votes on November 14. (ANI)
