The tragic death of Shefali Jariwala, fondly remembered as the Kaanta Laga girl, has once again stirred painful memories among fans of Bigg Boss 13. The 42-year-old actress was found dead at her Andheri home on June 27, sending shockwaves across the entertainment industry. Amid this, her Bigg Boss 13 co-contestant Himanshi Khurana called the season “cursed,” pointing to the heartbreaking sequence of events that have followed since its airing—including the death of winner Sidharth Shukla in 2021 and her own breakup with fellow contestant Asim Riaz in 2023.

She later participated in several reality shows, including Nach Baliye with her husband Parag Tyagi and Bigg Boss 13, where her strong personality and candid nature won her fans. Her sudden death has left colleagues and fans mourning, especially those who shared space with her on the reality show.

Posting a throwback photo, she wrote, “Bigg Boss, that place is cursed, I think.” The statement comes in the wake of Sidharth Shukla’s sudden heart attack at age 40, her own split with Asim Riaz, and now Shefali’s untimely demise.
