Bollywood actress Rani Mukerji has been active in the film industry for nearly three decades, and after years of hard work, she received the biggest honor of her career for the first time. In a grand ceremony held in New Delhi, Rani Mukerji won the National Award for Best Actress for her outstanding performance in her film "Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway." This is Rani's first National Award. On this special occasion, she wore a pendant with her daughter Adira's name on it, which made headlines.

After winning the National Award for Best Actress, Rani Mukerji spoke about this pendant and her daughter, Adira in an exclusive interview with India Today. She explained why her daughter could not attend the ceremony.
Why Rani could not take her daughter Adira with her
Rani Mukerji explained that Adira wanted to be a part of the ceremony, but due to regulations, children under the age of 14 were not allowed to enter the ceremony. As a result, Adira had to stay at home. Rani said in an interview, "Adira was crying loudly. She felt that this rule of not being with me on my special day was completely unfair. I explained it to her and promised that I would take her with me. That's why I wore a pendant with her name on it."
Did this special thing to bring a smile to her daughter's face
Rani further said that when fans on social media wrote that they were "carrying" their daughter with them, she showed those videos and posts to Adira. This made the child happy and calmed her down. She said with a smile, “Adira is my lucky charm, and I wanted to keep her very close to my heart on my biggest day.”
Mother made her a role model for the film
Rani also revealed about her role in the film "Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway." She said that she created her character "Devika" inspired by her mother. "I grew up in Mumbai, but when I had to play a Bengali woman, my mother became my biggest reference. I imitated my mother's mannerisms and thinking and acted accordingly."
