Two-time world champion Nikhat Zareen entered the 51kg semifinals with a stunning win on the second day of the Elite Women's Boxing Tournament here on Sunday. Nikhat delighted the home crowd with a sensational 5-0 win over Kalpana.

Former youth world champion Ankushita Boro also gave her best and entered the 65kg semifinals with a dominant 5-0 win over Rajasthan boxer Parthavi. In other quarterfinal results, Preeti (54kg), Jyoti (51kg), and Devika Ghorpade (51kg) entered the semifinals with unanimous decisions.
Tamil Nadu's V Lakshya (51kg) impressed with a 5-0 win over Laxmi Devi while Tanu (54kg), Sasi (65kg), and Yashi Sharma (65kg) also advanced to the next round with strong performances. Ankushita's TOPS teammate Gitimoni Gogoi advanced via RSC (referee stoppage of the bout) in 70kg and Babyrojsana Chanu (57kg) also won.
The semi-finals will be held on Monday. The tournament is being organised to secure spots for the elite national camp to be held in Patiala.
