In a video from the hospital, the accused can be seen pleading with the officers, apologising and promising not to repeat such acts. According to a report from Dainik Bhaskar, when SP City Ranvijay Singh arrived at the hospital, Adil folded his hands, held his ears, and repeatedly begged for forgiveness. “I will never do this again, please forgive me this time,” he told the officers.
The arrest comes a day after the disturbing molestation video surfaced on social media. The police had earlier registered a case and launched a manhunt for the accused.

The encounter took place at Ramganga Ghat behind the Nat Baba Mutt area in Jigar Colony. Police said Adil (22), who is a compounder at a private nursing home, fired at them when they tried to stop him during routine night checks.
“His bike slipped near the riverbank, and he opened fire while fleeing,” SP Ranvijay Singh said as quoted by Dainik Bhaskar. The police team returned fire, injuring and capturing him within seconds. A country-made pistol, live cartridges and the bike, without a number plate, were seized from his possession. The officer commended his team, confirming that Adil was tracked down and caught within 12 to 14 hours of the FIR being filed.
