Cooper Hospital has completed Shefali Jariwala's postmortem, but the cause of death is still unknown, adding to the mystery surrounding her unexpected death.
According to officials, a government-appointed doctor conducted the autopsy and video documentation was done as part of protocol. The doctors have reserved their opinion, and blood and viscera samples have been preserved for further forensic examination.
On the ongoing inquiry, Minister of State for Home, Yogesh Kadam, stated, "Whatever incident has occurred, all information has been collected by the police, and the investigation is underway. If any foul play is suspected, or if any complaint comes forward, we will definitely investigate from that angle as well."
On the evening of July 27, Shefali, 42, reportedly collapsed at home and her husband hurried her to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital. Doctors pronounced her dead.
In recent years, Shefali has been a well-known figure on social media and reality television, thanks to her iconic appearance in the music video for "Kaanta Laga." Many of her coworkers and admirers are still in shock over her death.
While tributes continue to pour in, the circumstances surrounding her death remain uncertain. The police are awaiting detailed forensic results, which could offer more insight into what led to the actress’s untimely demise.
