Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The Meghalaya SIT along with Shillom James took off for Shillong on Monday night after recovering jewellery and other items belonging to Sonam and Raja Raghuvanshi.
The team flew to Delhi on way to Guwahati from where it will head to Shillong by road.
The SIT's primary objective was to recover the pistol, cash, jewellery, laptop and other items missing from the flat where Sonam had been hiding. Acting on leads provided by Shillom James, the team successfully recovered these items from various locations in Indore and Ratlam.
Among the recovered items were gold, silver and two mangalsutras found in Ratlam. A password-protected laptop linked to Sonam was also seized.

After conducting inquiries in Ratlam, they returned to Indore. Following a few procedural steps here, including the medical examination of the accused, the team left for Shillong.”
Meanwhile, Raja’s brother Vipin Raghuvanshi was again summoned by the Meghalaya SIT at the Indore Crime Branch police station on Monday afternoon for questioning related to the case. “The Shillong Police called me for interrogation regarding the jewellery and ornaments we had gifted during Raja and Sonam’s wedding. I have submitted all the photos of the jewellery we offered,” Vipin told the media.
Demand for narco test
Raja’s family is preparing to move the Meghalaya High Court, demanding a narco test of the accused. Vipin said, “I will apply for the narco examination of the accused and appeal to the Meghalaya High Court for the same, as the motive behind Raja’s murder is still unknown. Therefore, a narco test is essential.”
