Aldi shoppers need to watch out for this secret code appearing near their favourite products. The easy-to-miss sign is something used in every branch of the discount supermarket - and could explain a major change before it happens.
The supermarket stocks a wide variety of items, mostly under its own affordable brand labels, but not everything is guaranteed to be in the shop from one visit to the next. Shoppers are used to this when it comes to the ever-changing middle aisles that rotate between a selection of goods every Thursday and Sunday.
However, supermarket bosses also regularly refresh items in the main parts of the shop. This can happen for a variety of reasons, such as if the product isn't selling that well, or something new is coming along, and staff need the space.

Shoppers can stay one step ahead of any product being discontinued by understanding a subtle code added to the digital price tags. As explained by Jordan Cox, a resident money-saving specialist on ITV's This Morning, one letter signals an item might be gone for good the next time you do your weekly shop.
In an Instagram video, Jordan said: "There's a secret code at Aldi you need to know about. When shopping, look closely at the product labels. If you see a 'D' in the top-right corner, that item is being discontinued when it is sold out. So, you might want to stock up."
At the time of filming, the capital letter was pointed out on a few of Aldi's products, including some ice cream, chocolate bars, and alcohol. Anyone who has a favourite at the supermarket should keep an eye out for the warning sign that the product is approaching the end of its time on offer, with possible discounts on the way.
In other Aldi news, the supermarket announced that it would be taking on the likes of M&S and Tesco by creating a true supermarket first with its new Birthday Cake Sandwich. Unlike other stores, which attempted sweet sandwiches earlier this year, Aldi's product would be made with 100% cake instead of using a brioche-style bread.
And, looking even further ahead, shoppers have been swept up in festive fever as the store teased its Christmas food and drink range. The store released its leaflet packed with tasty treats and tipples for all kinds of celebrations this December.

As part of its Christmas collection, shoppers can look ahead through the leaflet available both online and in Aldi stores. People on TikTok likened it to 'circling things in the Argos catalogue' when picking out items they wanted for festive parties this winter.
The collection included plenty of returning favourites. But, there were also some new items to tempt people this Christmas, including the Specially Selected The Ultimate Slow Cooked Wagyu Shin, Specially Selected Chicken Waffles and Specially Selected Centrepiece Pistachio Tiramisu
