Emmerdale star Michael Parr becomes first time dad welcoming baby daughter

Emmerdale star Michael Parr has become a first time father - welcoming a daughter with girlfriend Isabelle Du Plessis. The happy couple proudly showed off their bundle of joy online - much to the joy of fans.

Taking to Instagram on Saturday, Isabelle uploaded a string of photographs and introduced her daughter to the world. Proud father Michael, 39 - who has played Ross Barton on Emmerdale since 2013 - was beaming as he held his little daughter in one arm in a photo.

While another snap showed him walking out of hospital with his baby girl in a protective car seat. And another snap showed him introducing the baby to the family dog.

Meanwhile, Isabel looked glowing in photos that showed her holding her newborn baby. She shared the photos along with a caption stating: "Welcome to the world Suzie Rose Par" - along with red rose emoji.

Fans and followers took to the comments section to send messages of congratulations. One fan typed: "Beautiful girl! Beautiful family!! So so many congratulations!"

Another typed: "Congratulations she is a beautyyyyy!!" And Michael's Emmerdale co-star Bradley Riches, who plays on-screen brother Lewis Barton, wrote: "Love you! X".

Michael first announced that he and Isabelle were due to become parents back in May. He shared a number of photos of himself with Isabella, who cradled her blossoming belly.

The couple shared a number of snaps of themselves looking happy on a beach. They wrote a message in the sand revealing they were to become parents, writing: "MJP IDP Soon 2 B 3."

Sharing the images at the time, the couple wrote in a joint caption: "In our Mum & Dad Era" alongside a baby chicken emoji and a chick in an egg emoji.

Over the following months, Isabelle documented her pregnancy, sharing photos online. And she gave insight into her romance with her actor partner.

In July, she shared a photo of him kissing her head while she held her bump, writing in an accompanying caption: "Made a person with my favourite person."

While Michael also revealed he was counting down to fatherhood online. Last month he took to Instagram to share a photo of himself looking relaxed in the sunshine.

Wearing a cream shirt, a pair of sunglasses and holding a bottle of beer, he shared his excitement about soon becoming a dad. He wrote at the time: "Last few weeks before I become Poppa Parr!!! And yes I do wear this shirt alot."

Michael and Isabella keep their relationship reasonably out of the spotlight, but the soap actor has made some rare comments about the romance. He told The Mirror last year: "I'm in a very happy relationship. She's amazing and has been very supportive."
