Orlando Bloom cosies up to mystery woman at Jeff Bezos' wedding party after Katy Perry split

Orlando Bloom has been mingling away as he celebrates Jeff Bezos' upcoming wedding freshfrom his reported split from fiancée Katy Perry. The actor, 48, issaid to be "flying solo" at the high-profile event in Venice as the Amazon boss and soon-to-be wife Lauren Sanchez's wedding kicks off.

In what could be a tough time for Orlando in the romantic Italian city, it seems he has been keeping his spirits high as he headed to a lavish pre-wedding bash. He was seen leaving the exclusive do with women and other guests before departing on a water taxi.

While inside the vehicle, he was seen getting close and chatty with one mystery woman. Orlando looked smart in a beige trouser and blazer combo over a loosely buttoned white shirt as he managed to keep a smile on his face.

His appearance comes just hours after reports he has split from pop star Katy, 40, after nine years together. They have faced speculation over their relationship in recent weeks, with reports of "make or break talks".

The pair, who share four-year-old daughter Daisy, have not confirmed the split – but Orlando's solo appearance at Bezos' nuptials are a big hint. Earlier on his trip to Venice without Katy, Orlando was spotted flashing a peace sign to onlookers as he hopped on a boat.

Jeff and Lauren's three-day wedding extravaganza kicked off on Thursday with guests to include Mick Jagger, Kim Kardashian and Leonardo DiCaprio. Orlando's solo appearance comes following reports that he is "now a single man."

A source told TMZ: "He's the life of the party and he's gonna hit the dance floor hard!" Speaking to US Weekly, another source said: "Katy and Orlando have split but are amicable."

They added that the split is "not contentious" at the moment and said that Katy - who had been onboard Bezos' Blue Origin space flight in April - is "upset". The source said: "Katy is of course upset but is relieved to not have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life."

It was further claimed by the source that the split was "a long time coming," with things said to have been "tense" between them for months.

The guest list for the glitzy wedding is rumoured to include stars like Oprah Winfrey, Bill Gates, Salma Hayek Pinault, Sir Elton John, and Lady Gaga. Sánchez, meanwhile, is said to be organising her nuptials like "every other bride" and teased on the Today show last year: "I have to say, I do have a Pinterest."

However, the couple's extravagant wedding plans have reportedly been derailed as local protestors disrupted the city. They have been compelled to change their wedding venue after residents of threatened to fill the historic canals with inflatable crocodiles.

It has been reported that guests were originally set to celebrate at the 16th-century Scuola Grande della Misericordia. Now, the 61-year-old billionaire is now thought to have opted for the Arsenale, which is considered a more secure location away from the city centre, instead.
