iPhone 17 Series Leaks Reveal Bigger Cameras, ProMotion for All, New A19 Chip & Price Hike

Apple is set to launch its iPhone 17 lineup on September 9, 2025, which will include iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and an all-new slim iPhone 17 Air. Pre-orders are expected to start from September 12, with availability from September 19.

Compared to older models, the iPhone 17 series is expected to bring several notable upgrades and changes:

• Cameras: The high-end Pro models will feature a significant camera upgrade with a 48MP main, ultra-wide, and telephoto setup, including an 8x optical zoom on the telephoto lens. The design will see a new horizontal camera layout on the Pro versions, reminiscent of Pixel phones.

• Display: For the first time, the entire iPhone 17 lineup (including base and Air models) may get ProMotion technology with 120Hz refresh rates, offering smoother scrolling and animations formerly exclusive to Pro models. • Design: The iPhone 17 Air is said to be the thinnest iPhone ever at around 5.5mm and may completely omit the SIM tray. The regular and Air versions might use aluminum frames, while the Pro models could shift to a more premium titanium frame that alters pricing and weight. New color variants are expected, including titanium blue, purple, orange for Pro Max, and others.

• Price: The iPhone 17 base model could be priced around $799, the Air at $949-$999, Pro models from about $1,049, and the Pro Max topping near $1,249. In India, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is expected to start at around ₹1,64,900.

Overall, the iPhone 17 series represents an evolutionary but significant step from previous generations with better cameras, displays, processing power, and a slimmer more premium design especially with the arrival of the new iPhone 17 Air model targeting a niche segment.
