The excitement around Ranveer Singh is building up after the release of his first look from Dhurandhar, where he sports long hair and is seen in action mode. Ranveer has multiple big projects lined up, including Don 3 and Shaktimaan. As shooting for Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3 is set to begin in January 2026, new reports reveal that Shah Rukh Khan is making a comeback in the franchise. What does this mean for Ranveer Singh’s role?
According to the Economic Times, Farhan Akhtar has personally approached Shah Rukh Khan to return in Don 3. Although Shah Rukh’s role will be limited in screen time, it will be pivotal to the film’s storyline. Currently, King Khan is busy with his upcoming film King, releasing in 2026, but his close bond with Farhan Akhtar is reportedly the reason he agreed to join Don 3.
If confirmed, this will mark the first time Ranveer Singh and Shah Rukh Khan share the screen, much to the delight of fans. Shah Rukh’s cameo is expected to add significant weight to the plot and hints at bigger plans for the Don Universe.
Meanwhile, the film’s female lead spot remains uncertain. Kiara Advani, who was initially part of the cast, has stepped away due to pregnancy, causing some delay in production. The makers are currently considering Kriti Sanon for the role.
Farhan Akhtar’s 120 Bahadur is slated for release on November 21, followed by Ranveer’s Dhurandhar on December 5. After completing these projects, the team will focus fully on Don 3.
