India vs Bangladesh: Suryakumar Yadav failed once again in the Asia Cup. He managed only five runs against Bangladesh. Interestingly, Suryakumar Yadav is also being accused of running out Abhishek Sharma. Find out the truth.
Abhishek Sharma Run Out: India set Bangladesh a target of 169 runs in the Super 4 match of the Asia Cup. Abhishek Sharma top-scored for India with 75 runs but was run out. Since his wicket fell, captain Suryakumar Yadav has been heavily trolled. It is being claimed that captain Suryakumar Yadav ran out Abhishek Sharma. The video of Abhishek Sharma's runout is going viral on social media.
Did Suryakumar Yadav make a mistake?
Abhishek Sharma 's wicket fell in the 12th over. Suryakumar Yadav played a cut shot off Mustafizur Rahman's first ball, but Rishad Hussain, standing at point, dived to his left and caught the ball. Meanwhile, Abhishek Sharma, on the non-strike end, reached the halfway crease, unaware that the Bangladeshi player had the ball in his hands. Rishad Hussain, showing agility, threw the ball to Mustafizur Rahman, who ran Abhishek Sharma out in the blink of an eye.

Suryakumar Yadav was not at fault here, as Rishad Hussain fielded brilliantly and caught the ball, and Surya didn't even come out of his crease. Surya's mistake was that he himself was dismissed in the same over. Yadav scored just 5 runs in 11 balls and was caught by Bangladeshi wicketkeeper Zakir Ali off Mustafizur. The loss of two wickets in this over dealt a severe blow to India's hopes of a big score. When Abhishek Sharma was batting, Team India looked set to reach 200, but ultimately managed only 168.

Suryakumar Yadav's poor form
Suryakumar Yadav has been struggling with poor form in the Asia Cup. He failed to open his account against Pakistan, and now he's been unable to score even five runs against Bangladesh. This year, Suryakumar has scored only 87 runs in nine innings at an average of 12.42. His strike rate is also 112.98. It's clear that if Suryakumar Yadav continues to play like this, his captaincy and place in the team will be in jeopardy.
