Bhubaneswar: Kuni Rajgond won Odisha another medal in the 40th National Junior Athletics Championships at Kalinga Stadium here on Sunday.
The 13-year-old Kuni, who hails from Nabarangpur district, finished second in the U-14 Girls’ Javelin event to claim silver on the third day of the five-day meet.
A year ago, at this same venue, Kuni had made a mark by bagging silver at the East Zone Junior athletics championship.
On Saturday, Haryana’s Himanshu stole the limelight by erasing Olympic winner Neeraj Chopra’s meet record with a throw of 79.96 metres in the U-18 Men’s Javelin competition.
