England star Jarell Quansah will miss Tuesday's World Cup qualifier with Latvia due to injury. The centre-back has been sent home from camp ahead of the trip to Riga.
Quansah, who is yet to make his international debut, was included in Thomas Tuchel's 24-man squad ahead of Thursday's friendly with Wales alongside fellow centre-backs John Stones, Marc Guehi, Dan Burn and Ezri Konsa. But the former Liverpool player, who joined Bayer Leverkusen in the summer, failed to make it off the bench against Craig Bellamy's team as the Three Lions' cruised to a 3-0 victory. England have confirmed that Quansah has returned to Germany as a "precaution", with Tuchel deciding against calling up a replacement.
Leverkusen shelled out £35million to prise Quansah away from Anfield at the start of July after the defender had featured 58 times for Liverpool.
The 22-year-old scored on his Bundesliga debut against Hoffenheim in August and appeared in every minute of Leverkusen's first nine matches this season ahead of this month's international break.
His nine appearances include two Champions League starts, with Leverkusen opening their European campaign with draws against Copenhagen and PSV.
And the defender has even been required to impress two managers already during the early stages of his career in Germany, with Kasper Hjulmand taking over as boss in early September after former Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag was sacked just two months after taking the helm.

England will be the overwhelming favourites to get the better of Latvia on Tuesday night after winning their first five World Cup qualifiers under Tuchel.
The German has already guided the Euro 2024 finalists to victory over Latvia during the qualifying campaign as well as two victories over Andorra and wins against Albania and Serbia.
The Three Lions' qualifying campaign ends with back-to-back clashes with Serbia and Albania in November, with the World Cup finals getting underway in June next year.
England scored all three of their goals against Wales before the midway point of the first half as Morgan Rogers, Ollie Watkins and Bukayo Saka all found the back of the net.
And following the contest, Tuchel said: "We only had one-and-a-half days to prepare against a complicated opponent. To shut them down in the way we shut them down demands a lot of effort.
"We are nearly playing like a club team - very flexible, but staying true to our structure. Everyone buys into their role and is ready to do invisible work and help each other. I am very happy with the next step."
