A Western drama that's been labelled as a "masterpiece" is now ready to watch at the click of a button on Netflix.
Originally released in 2022, 1883 was the first of two Yellowstone prequels to come out on Paramount+ following the ancestors of the iconic Dutton family.
This particular chapter in the Duttons' lives follows James and Margaret Dutton (played by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill) as they leave poverty-ridden Texas behind to start again with friend and ex-military captain Shea Brennan (Sam Elliot) joining them for the journey.
Initially 1883 was just available to watch on Paramount+ but it was quietly added to Netflix earlier this year for subscribers to binge-watch the 10-episode season.
The Western may be a prequel but it has proved to be a stand alone favourite with 1883 boasting an impressive 83% on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes in comparison to Yellowstone's 83%.

A fan on X described 1883 as a "truly inspiring, beautiful and sad story".
A Rotten Tomatoes user agreed: "This is about as good as TV could ever get. Beautifully filmed, brutal but never gratuitously so."
Someone else on X labelled it as "by far, the best show ever made", as a fourth remarked: "It is an intricate tale of loss and determination. I was entranced from start to finish."
Meanwhile, a fellow viewer complimented the entire Yellowstone franchise, admitting they are "truly an addict".
"Binge watched it over again, back to back - still phenomenal!"
1883 was followed by fellow Yellowstone spin-off 1923 the following year which ran for two seasons starring Harrison Ford as James' older brother Jacob and The Thursday Murder Club's Helen Mirren as Cara.
Unfortunately for fans of Taylor Sheridan's original drama, Yellowstone finished with its fifth and final season in December 2024 but there is still plenty more to come.
It has been teased that several other spin-offs are already in the works, including 1944, The Madison, Y-Marshals and Dutton Ranch.
The franchise continues to attract big names with The Madison set to star Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell and original actors Cole Hauser and Kelly Reilly returning as Rip and Beth for The Dutton Ranch series.
1883 is available to watch on Netflix.
