Four in a Bed is a mainstay on our televisions, but who lends their voice to the narration of this much-loved Channel 4 series?
The enduring programme first aired in 2010 and features BandB owners visiting each other's establishments and rating them in a competition to be named the "best BandB".
On the show, the competitive innkeepers are assessed on a variety of aspects, including the room, cleanliness, food and even the hosts themselves.
At the week's end, it's revealed how much all four BandB owners believe their competitor's offering is truly worth. The prices are then disclosed, often leading to dramatic outcomes, before a winner is declared.
Since its premiere 15 years ago, Four in a Bed has won over audiences with the tense and occasionally awkward confrontations that occur on-screen, reports the Mirror.
However, there is one individual who is likely instrumental to its success: the programme's long-standing narrator.
The voice providing depth and detail to Four in a Bed is none other than Duncan Wisbey. The actor and voice artist assumed the role of the show's narrator in 2015 and has been steering the ship ever since. Prior to him, Mike Adams narrated the show from 2010 to 2015.
Duncan himself has been in the industry for many years, and has featured on several CBeebies programmes as well as the BBC soap EastEnders, where he played a Celebrant in 2015.
He's also had a stint in Hollywood, featuring in the horror film Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines. In 2022, he took on the role of Martin in the Netflix comedy Hard Cell, which was created by and starred Catherine Tate.
Off-screen, Duncan is happily married to actress Rae Baker, with whom he shares a child, Hattie, born in 2011. Rae is most recognised for her role as Detective Constable Juliet Becker in the long-standing ITV drama The Bill.
Following her departure from The Bill, Rae made appearances on the BBC soap Doctors, portraying Caroline Garvey. She has also featured in children's spy drama M.I High and Father Brown.
