NEW DELHI: India has set three Guinness World Records under the nationwide “Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan” (SNSPA), marking a major milestone in preventive and women-centric healthcare, the Union Health Ministry announced on Friday.

The records include the most people to register for a healthcare platform in one month (3.21 crore), the most people to sign up for breast cancer screening online in one week (9.94 lakh), and the most people to sign up for vital signs screening online in one week at the state level (1.25 lakh).

Launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi between September 17 and October 2, 2025, coinciding with Poshan Maah, the campaign aims to enhance women’s health and nutrition, ensure early detection of diseases, and encourage families to adopt healthier lifestyles.

Highlighting the initiative’s philosophy, the Prime Minister had said, “Our mothers and sisters — our women power — are the foundation of our nation’s progress. If a mother is healthy, the whole family stays healthy.”

According to the health ministry, the campaign reached every district in India, organising over 19.7 lakh health camps with a total footfall exceeding 11 crore.

More than 20 ministries, medical institutions, and private organisations joined the drive, making it a “Whole-of-Government” effort.

It also witnessed unprecedented community engagement, with participation from over five lakh Panchayati Raj representatives, 1.14 crore students, 94 lakh self-help group members, and several other community platforms.

The initiative recorded 1.78 crore hypertension screenings , 1.73 crore diabetes screenings, 69.5 lakh oral cancer screenings, and 62.6 lakh antenatal check-ups.

Additionally, 2.14 crore people took part in counselling and wellness sessions.

The health ministry said this global recognition reflects India’s combined strength of digital health innovation , community participation, and government coordination in building a “Healthy Woman, Empowered Family, and Viksit Bharat.”
